Application Required for this overnight program
This camp is designed for tween/teens going into 7th/8th grade who are ready for an overnight experience. This camp is 100% outside, land-based program. It is based on Rite of Passage work utilizing council, a circle-based practice that we do at day camp, wilderness skill building, and nature based practices. We build community and expect the kids to be able to manage their own belongings, adhere to our group guidelines, and have fun!
The camp’s main facilitators are Kassey Baker and Galilee Carlisle with support from Seedlings Camp staff.
Monday: We spend the day at The Evergreen State College Forest to get to know one another, play, and practice basic forest skill building activities.
Tuesday- Friday: We will be at Lost Valley Farm, a 35-acre farm sits adjacent to private forest service land in the headwaters of the Chehalis River.
You will provide transportation to and from Lost Valley Farm. Drop-off is on Tuesday at 9:00am and pick-up is on Friday at 12:00PM.
The overnight portion is 100% outside with kids camping in their own tents, sleeping under the stars, working in the several acre garden, swimming, and exploring the forest lands.
Cost is $850-$1,000, sliding-scale
Payment plans and scholarships are available.
